Executive Summary
Control4® Suite Systems is the first standards-based automation and entertainment control
technology for hotel and resort owners, providing a complete “Door to Drape” solution.
Operating as an IEEE standards based automation system, the Control4® solution seamlessly
interacts with hotel property management systems and hotel networks, enabling
communication between electronic devices from virtually any vendor. These devices may
include automated room drapes or shades, mini-bar automation, HVAC control, security and
access management, and many more. Control4® solutions are based on Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and
ZigBee technology standards that adhere to strict safety guidelines. All products are FCC, UL,
CE and RoHs certified.
Using a single remote or touch screen, hotel guests will be able to control drapery, lighting,
room temperature, room status, television, music, and video on demand systems. Using the
same remote or touch screen, guests can schedule wake-up calls and make requests for
services such as valet, housekeeping, room service, spa treatments and more. A hotel suite
powered by Control4® Suite Systems may include the following.
Smart Lighting
Control4® Suite Systems can automate the lights using our Wireless Dimmer or Switch. Suite
Systems programs the Suite lighting to come on when needed and go off when not needed,
giving you an easy and automatic way to save energy. Another great way to save energy is to
set a lighting threshold, whereby all lights operate up to a maximum percentage. All lighting
products are equipped with customizable LED’s. Control4’s® Wireless Outlet Modules allow
lamps in the room to be automated and controlled bedside with a keypad, touch screen, or
handheld remote control via our custom UI.
Advanced Temperature Control
Heating and air conditioning can easily be turned down or off when the guest room is
unoccupied, saving your bottom line each year by not having HVAC systems running in un-
occupied rooms. A Control4® Suite System thermostat allows control of room temperature
through wireless keypads, handheld remote, on-screen TV interface, or touch screen’s
allowing your guest to adjust temperature settings from the comfort of their own bed. When
incorporated with the hotel PMS system, temperature settings can adjust based on Checked In
or Checked Out status.
